I was very good this week and had my meals planned in advance. Thursday was Citrus-Garlic Pork Loin. It's easy, however, it definitely takes planning. The marinade which has grapefruit juice, lime juice, soy sauce, hot pepper sauce and garlic in it, has to sit at room temp for an hour or so before you add the loin to marinade for a few more hours. MAN it's worth it though esp with my speed cooker. I cook 2+ pounds of pork loin in about 22 minutes. I also made another marinade without the pepper sauce in it for the broccoli and I made some thin sliced baked fries. Mmmmmmm......
I have an admission to make. I am an addict. OK, maybe not and addict but I have a pretty heavy 'Bou habit. They know me by name and I have a "usual" although I do occasionally mix it up. It's gotten to the point that the baristas recognize my cup if KC brings it in for me and know what to put in it! I'm not certain this is a good thing or not but I'm a loyal 'Bou goer so I was a little dismayed when I noticed that some little vandal had defaced, LITERALLY, the logo on the front door. I know it's hard to tell but trust me, the coffee bean shaped decal that was making up the caribou's head has been ripped off!!! :(
Ok not so typical on an otherwise typical day, Floyd decided to take his bone on his afternoon walk. Very odd. He truly is a creature of habit and this new introduction completely threw him off. He was so distracted, he forgot what he was on his walk to "do." Note to self. Make the dog leave the treats at home. :)
