We get a full blast of morning sun through our front door. Floyd has his bed in the front hall and lavishly soaks up the sunbeam all morning. Being the awesome doggie parents that we are, KC and I will slide his bed over as the sunbeam swings across the floor throughout the morning. It would be really cool if he could figure out how to drag his bed over himself but he's just not that smart.
This morning he was looking so cute all hunkered down on his bed I didn't have the heart to make him get in his crate while I went for a quick run and to the gym to lift. I'd only be gone a little over an hour. So I put up the cat food (according to our vet, even the light cat food we get for Cecelia is like a Snickers for a dog) and let him stay in his cozy spot.
When I first went out the door, he poked his head up to see what I was doing but as soon as he saw I was just standing there (I needed to stretch a little before hitting the road) he lost interest and went right back to his late morning nap. This must be what they mean by "a dog's life."
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
