This one was a surprise even to me. When I was out walking Floyd with KC this morning, I noticed the pear trees near the greenway were beginning to bloom so I decided to go out with my camera later to capture them. I shot a few from various angles but was unable to get above the blossoms due to height and other branches. I remembered I had a live view option on my 5100 so I could hold it over my head and shoot. Even then, I was too short so I shot sort of blind. When I pulled this one down, I noticed the umbrella in the background and immediately moved it and took a few more shots.
I got back and downloaded the pics to my computer. As I was going through them, this one popped out at me immediately. The umbrella added some great perspective and interest to this one. I decided I liked it so it became my POD. I darkened it slightly to increase the contrast with the grass and blossoms and decided it was good.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
