I recently became aware of the fact that Macy's shoes were all too small, boots and/or falling apart. I felt pretty bad about that since I'm such s stickler about the shoes I put on my kids. Therefore, after dropping Delaney off at gymnastics this morning I brought Macy to Crabtree to buy some shoes. She needed both a dressy shoe and a sneaker. She chose this sneaker which is super cute but it has laces. She has not learned to tie laces yet so here she is learning. It's a work in progress but she'll get it.
The other pair she found was a black patent leather pair. The reason she liked it was because it was "clompy" (remember the boot ordeal?) which meant it had a hard heel to it although the bottom was still rubber so she could wear it to school. I hated the thought of her wearing black patent leather all summer so I discussed with her the whole summer shoe thing. To my surprise she actually agreed when I found the same shoe but in an off white! So while, I'm not thrilled about the patent leather part of it, at least it's not black. I can only push so hard and she is so stuck on this "clompy" business that I didn't even touch that part. I consider it a win-win.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
