I did take a few pics of the pear trees next to our house with the petals all over the ground looking like snow but unfortunately, it was the middle of the day and the lighting was terrible resulting in a washed-out, blah pic. So I bagged them all and chose a simple pic of Cecelia with a little story.
Before we got Floyd, I bought a bed for him. I put it on the floor and Cecelia "claimed" it within minutes. She spent so much time in it over the next few days, I decided she needed to keep it for herself. I went back to the store and bought another just like it for Floyd. We kept the second one off the floor until we brought Floyd home so Cecelia couldn't claim that one too.
Floyd somehow ended up using both of them leaving Cecelia with none for over a year. For the past few days, all of a sudden, Cecelia has found the bed again. She has spent every hour she's in the house in this bed. Poor Floyd doesn't quiet know what to do. He's had access to both as long as his little brain can remember. However, he also knows that Cecelia is sharp and will hurt him so he generally avoids her. Now she's in one of his favorite spots and he is torn. Does he pester her until she leaves the bed and risking getting scratched or just go find another spot that may not be as cozy? He has been choosing the former so far but will he continue to avoid? That is the question of the day.
On a different note, I did something with this pic I hadn't done yet. I used iPhoto's blemish tool to take a lamp cord out of the background. I had to re-do it a few times to make it less noticeable but I am very pleased with the results esp considering how easy it was. Yeah!!!! A new tool!
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
