I met my BFF for lunch today to catch up. I haven't seen her since well before I left for Haiti. We sat outside the Bruegger's for over 2 hours just chatting. I love that. Thank you Kirst. You are the best.
This is what I had for lunch: ham and cheese on a green bagel in honor of St. Patrick's Day. My last name does start with Mc after all. :)
Today was field day at the girls' school. As I was leaving after doing the second counting of the the fun run money, I saw all the kids out there having a good time so I decided to snap a few pics. The only thing that really caught my eye were the big inflatable things the kids were pushing around the field. I had just enough time to snap a few shots before the skies opened up and I dashed back to the car before getting drenched.
I took a picture of the shamrock plant a few weeks ago as it was first pushing it's way up through the mulch. Now, the leaves are fully up and the pretty little flowers are just starting to bloom as well. Of all the things about this house, I think the best surprise has been this plant that simply showed up. It has given us much joy as it continues to come back year after year.
One last picture for the day. I spied the girls performing for each other using the big green electrical box as their stage. They didn't want me to get too close for fear I'd hear them singing but when I took a shot of them conferring about "little girl things" Meghann saw me and flashed a smile. They are beautiful kids and I am very thankful to have them in the neighborhood.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
