I really love Groupon. Back in October, there was one for one of the girls' favorite restaurants: Ginza, a Japanese steak house up the road. I bought it thinking for certain we'd go between then and now. Imagine my shock when a few days ago, I got the reminder that it was going to expire at the end of the month. We quickly made plans to use it. the girls were thrilled!
I brought my camera specifically to get a picture of the onion volcano and not only did I get a picture of that but I caught the chef using the little boy peeing prop too! We were seated with two older couples who were having a great time. The one man was very sweet and engaged the girls in conversation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my filet and shrimp. KC and Macy both had chicken and Delaney had shrimp! I'm so proud of my girl, branching out into seafood.
After dinner we walked over to Henry's Gelato for a nice tasty dessert. Since it was a fairly nice evening, we sat outside on a bench. It was a night for seeing people we knew. At Ginza, we saw Anna C. Then at Sip, a wine store next to Henry's we ran into Mrs. Mejeur, one of the 3rd grade teachers at LPES, then as we were standing in line at Henry's, Chris Morton and his daughter, Eleanor came in behind us. So strange!
Today was an early release day. It didn't effect us since we are tracked out but Olivia is not so after lunch at CFA, Kirsten went over to pick her up and the kids played in the back yard for a few hours until Macy had to go to practice. I brought some chairs down into the shade so Kirst and I could chat while keeping an eye on the kids. Normally, I would leave them to it but Jack, being only 2.5 years old, still needs a little closer supervision. Thankfully, it's still early enough in the year that the mosquitoes weren't out yet and Kirst and I were able to, for the most part, have an adult conversation between refereeing the squabbles caused by putting a 2 year old boy in with three 7 and 8 year old girls.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
