While I was leaving the Wake Zone today (I know, I know, I cheated on the 'Bou!!!) I stopped at the light to turn left onto Davis. As I was sitting there, something in the sky caught my eye. At first I didn't quiet realize what it was but then I saw it was 2 parachutes! My first thought upon this realization was, "Man, I wish I had my camera!" Then, I remembered, I, in fact, DID have my camera. I quickly grabbed it and snapped a few pictures. None were spectacular since I had my little lens on. Since I was in the car and the parachuters were rapidly descending, this was as good as I could get. You can make out the one on the right pretty clearly. The other one is to the left of the pole just above the trees and in profile. I fully admit this is not the best picture but it's an odd enough story to make it blog worthy. I have never seen parachutes in person before esp over Cary/Apex. There is an extremely small air strip right over in that area so I'm assuming that was the target but I still think it a bit odd.
In other news, I must pat myself on the back briefly. Today I was a good mother. Recently there have been many articles and expert interviews about parenting. I've read along with some of it and while much of it is completely contradictory, they all seem to agree that if one chooses to have one's children engaged in a high level activity like KC and I have, one of the things that needs to be watched is dinner. If the activity is forcing the family to go to the drive through several times a week, it is probably too much of a focus drain. Here is proof that I am managing to keep it in balance. Yes, that is salmon, a banana, a Baby Bell and broccoli Macy is eating before practice. AND I'd like to point out that she is enjoying it.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
