Macy had an optometrist appointment this morning at 10 so she didn't ride the bus to school. We had a few minutes to kill before we had to leave so we went shooting in the yard. She had my phone and I worked on my manual skills. I was also trying to find things to shoot close up to try to stump a friend of mine. I tried several different angles of this but none were obscure enough but I did like the way this one came out.
I've had this terra-cotta fish for nearly 12 years. I bought it at one of those in house parties a friend was hosting. There was very little in the catalogue I liked but this was kind of cute so I got it.
A few years ago, my sister came down to vist for a day or two with her family on the way to or from Florida, I can't remember exactly which way they were going. Anyway, Riley or Brice was out front playing with Delaney and/or Macy and he picked up the fish. Chris told him to put it down and he promptly let go. Fortunately, it broke cleanly into 3 pieces which KC was easily able to glue back together. Unless it's been wet and the terra-cotta has been soaking up water, you'd probably never know. If it's wet, the water stops at the glue so the bottom part of the fish will get dark and the top will stay light.
On a different topic, my cone flowers have finally started to bloom. Yay!!!!
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
