Last week, you may remember I went on a Target run. One of the things I needed was bathing suits for the girls. They have several but most are a few years old and they are getting ratty or too snug. I know Target isn't the best quality but at $17 if they last one season, we're doing pretty good.
The next day, Dana was over and noticed one of the suits I bought for Macy. She mentioned that she had bought one for Shiri but returned it because it ran so badly. Macy LOVED this one so I hated to return it so I decided I'd try to soak it in some soapy water for a day or so to get some of the dye out. Above, is actually a close up of the suit soaking in the sink. (48mm, f5.3, 1/8)
Once I took it out, I was pretty astounded at just how pink the water had gotten overnight. (20mm, f3.8, 1/125 with on camera flash)
I've often mentioned how miserable the cat is. Just to prove how spiteful she can be I took a pic of her this evening. Floyd had been whining for dinner for several minutes when I got a chance to step away from making dinner, I scooped some food for him. Almost immediately, Cecelia went over to the water dish and sat down. Floyd was too scared to approach the bowl so he just sat across the room and looked at the food longingly. Then Cecelia did something I'd never seen her do before; she lay down next to the water dish, the whole time keeping her gaze steadily on the dog. Eventually, I took pity on him, brought him over and stood guard until he finished. Just look that stare: fierce. (42mm, f5.3, 1/200 with on camera flash)
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
