On our trip to downtown Saratoga, the girls each bought something at G. Wilikers. Delaney chose a chemistry kit! She's always loved science and this was pretty cool. It helped identify the different components of household chemicals. I spent the entire day working on pictures from yesterday so KC was on. He spent hours with her. I've often said one of the cutest things in the world is a father with his daughter. This proved my point.
Part of the kit was these delightful pair of goggles. Delaney was very adamant that she wear them whenever they were doing an experiment.
While we were at the Dayan's the other night, I had a cup of coffee. Delaney asked if she could try some. Anyone who knows me, knows I don't drink "real" coffee. There must be a lot of sugar and milk in it. It tastes more like coffee ice cream than coffee but that's just the way I like it. So sue me! Anyway, Delaney liked it and when I brewed myself a pot this morning, she asked for one for herself. There's no way I'm going to give my 9 year old a full cup of even my wimpy coffee. Years ago we bought demitass cups for cider at our Christmas party. KC got one down for her and I filled it less than 1/2 way with coffee, put in a half of a spoonful of sugar an filled the rest with milk. She loved it and drank the whole thing. I figure one won't kill her,
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
