OK so with KC out of town this week, I haven't been at my peek photographically. But the longer I go into this challenge I've set for myself, the more I appreciate a good snap shot. Let's face it; most likely 90% or more of the pictures taken in this country are snap shots and of those, probably only 10% are worth ever looking at twice. This wasn't just a snap shot, it was also a hip shot. I wasn't looking through the view finder, nor was I using live view. I just pointed the camera from my hip toward the girls and shot. Kind of takes the pressure off me to frame things perfectly so it's fun to do every once in a while. I actually did crop and rotate in post but that was to get her sister's hand out of the corner more than anything else.
Again, it's not a piece of art anyone will hang on a wall but it'll make my yearly book. It captured a moment in time where my kid was happy and having fun. As a parent these are the moments we want to capture and keep forever. That's the beauty of a snapshot.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
