Macy had her first level 3 meet today. She did fantastic. She put up an amazing bar routine and then was so excited before floor, her coach, Samantha, had to be strict and tell her to get it together. This picture is soooo illustrative of the relationship between Macy and Samantha. It is my favorite of the day.
While at meets, I shoot with my 70-200mm with the aperture all the way open at f2.8. Through trial and error I have found that 1/500 second is really necessary to stop the motion so I lock those settings in on Manual and float the ISO but put the upper limit at 6400. I have to do a little work in post esp for noise reduction but in general, I'm happy with my results.
