Today was a first for me. Remember that post I made a few weeks ago that was a piece of paper I got at the ROP meet-up? Well Eyal and I finally got that to work out and we were paid actual money to shoot an event. It wasn't much but I think I got some pretty good shots. As always when shooting in these terrible lighting situations, I cranked open my aperture, set my shutter to 1/500 and let the ISO float although I limited it to 6400 since my experiment letting it go higher yesterday made me go "eh" above that. This one is my favorite although I must admit I got a bit lucky. I didn't really see the flag in the background until after I uploaded it. Still, it counts as a pretty awesome picture. Here are the rest that made my list.
Earlier in the day we did some softball. I have a few that are OK but I'm not sold on any of these. I closed my apertureto 8.0 to get more DOF but my shutter speed suffered for it. I probably should have floated the ISO for this too but since it was full daylight, that didn't occur to me. Still, not terrible but live and learn.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
