ISO 200, 40mm, f4.5, 1/80 with on camera flash
Here is my entry for the day. As mentioned yesterday, I did not have my camera with me for most of the day. I dutifully picked it up and shot a few before going to bed however so I have fulfilled my requirements. Things are still a little whacky with my camera settings so somehow the ISO was set to 200. I did a little color and curve adjustment post. I was trying to get the 2 of them looking at each other but Floyd made this face as I snapped and then was off and running so a second shot was not possible.
Here's where I had to use my photography skills more. Being relegated to an old Canon P&S, I had to work hard to stabilize and time my shots so that I got the action. The camera did have a continuous release mode: 1FPS. Hardly useful with high speed sports. So I took several and kept these. I did find that it had a spot metering option so I used that and tried to keep the action in that spot. No, the spot was not movable. It's been a long time since I had so few options! I straightened them and made curve adjustments post but cropping them only made them blurry so I left that as it was.
My commentary on the pics is this: We had 2 tubes. Each tube held 2 children. Between the 2 families, we had 4 kids. Perfect! Except that one of the 4 didn't want a wild ride. In order to avoid upsetting the 1, KC had to provide a bit of a milder ride than the other 3 were anticipating. Those 3 got bored very quickly. The little stinkers quickly figured out a way to make it more exciting for themselves though...
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
