ISO 560, 300mm, f7.1, 1/1250
This is not a great picture. Again, my ISO was bumped up and I didn't realize it until it was too late. It's not like it was at 6400 or something like that, just 560 which is enough to make a difference but it's not "hit you over the head" obvious. I was shooting and having trouble getting the exposure correct because of it. I was getting all disjointed about that so I was missing on the composition as well I tried to get a bumble bee in flight but was so upset by this point, I had the focus on the flower instead of the bee. However, from one POV, it's kind of a cool pic with the bee so blurry. If I weren't so honest, I'd tell you I meant to do that. I think I am in the gymnastics mind set of do it fast and I need to remember to slow down when outside the gym.
My mother, and in-laws noticed that Delaney has been squinting a lot lately so today I took her to Dr. Tucker. She'd been to him a few years ago and he siad she had some minor astigmatism but it wasn't bad enough to do anything about.
Today he said it was now bad enough to treat so Delaney has joined the glasses club with the rest of us.
She went into the lobby where all the frames are to pick out her first pair. The very kind woman asked her what her favorite color is and I said as close to invisible as we can get. She picked these out and Delaney was pretty happy. Macy, being ever helpful, picked out several more to try on. They ranged from purple to hot pink. Delaney tried them all on but as expected, did not want to draw attention to the fact that she was wearing glasses. These were the winner. They should be in in 2 weeks. She's not really happy about it but she has lots of good friends who wear glasses so she will eventually get used to it. She's so beautiful, glasses cannot diminish that.
After the traumatic experience of hearing she will need glasses, a child needs a treat so we went to the "Bou for snow drifts. I'm not certain it fixed things 100% but it did get her to smile!
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
