I love it when I get a great shoot in. Editing them all and making sure they are put up correctly takes me some time though. So I know it's been a while since my last post but I have been busy with gymnastics etc and didn't want to post these until I had time to do them right.
I brought the dog for a walk today just before sunset. The park we walk through is in a little valley. I've never seen it look like this though. I came around the corner and nearly fell over with delight. I knew I had to take advantage of it but the light was fleeting so I didn't have time to run back for my tripod so I had to boost the ISO more than I'd normally like but a noisy picture can be fixed somewhat, a blurry picture is just a mess. If I'd had my tripod with me, this would have been a great time for HDR!
I played with the shutter speed, aperture and ISO taking several shots at a time. Then went back to the computer and decided which was the best of the bunch, touched them up with LR and here's what I got.
And because I had Floyd with me and he was running around having fun I had to get one of him too.
On a completely different note: One of the things I love about elementary school is all the color that's all over the place. I was walking down the stairs at school today I noticed again, the great job that had been done to make it a cheerful place. The stairwell is a great opportunity to spruce things up and they did just that!
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
