I know, I have posted a lot of mushroom pictures. Frankly, they are ubiquitous and easy to shoot. They don't move and are generally found in shady spots so mid-day shooting is OK.
These were next to the greenway and I liked them. Got down in the grass, had people make comments as they passed and shot a few. The result was underwhelming. Since there wasn't much color going on to begin with and what color there was (the green leaves) actually detracted from the mushrooms, I figured this would be the perfect time for some B&W. I went to some presets and found the red filter high contrast was close to what I wanted but I darkened the darks a bit to help the mushrooms pop just a tad more. While it's not my favorite, I'm pleased that I did a B&W that wasn't awful.
