Macy and her team are now training to compete Level 5 next season. One of the big skills they have to have is a ROBHS-BT on Floor. For the non-gym moms out there, that is a round-off, back handspring, back tuck. If you don't know what that is, here is a YouTube clip of some random girl doing it. They have lots of time to perfect it as competition doesn't start until the fall but it's nice to get the basics of it down early so they have time to clean it up for competition. Anna came over to play today and were on the trampoline (shocker, I know) when Macy came running in telling me I had to get a picture of Anna doing her BHS-BT. She can't do the RO part on our trampoline since it's not quite long enough but if you have the BHS-BT, adding the RO in front is pretty easy. I grabbed the camera and should have taken a few seconds to change the settings to a higher shutter speed but I didn't and you can see that Anna is very blurry but you can also see that she's in a nice tuck position and I can attest to her landing on her feet. YEAH Anna! Next step is adding the RO then doing it on the floor rather than the trampoline. Even with a -1/3 I still had to drop the exposure by .8 and kill the highlights some in post. Strange lighting out there today.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
