I've been working for almost 13 years as a pediatric PT. Granted, I only work part time but I spend more time than most adults sitting and kneeling on the floor. I also regularly get drooled on among other things which it isn't necessary to get into here. Because of that, I wear scrubs. They have the added benefit of being EXTREMELY comfortable if not fashionable. Of course, if you have ever met me, you know that's never been high on my list of concerns so scrubs are perfect.
When I started working I invested in several pairs of Landau pants and tops. A few years ago, I bought a few new pair but they were Dickey brand and the elastic in the waist almost immediately gave out so while they were cute, they weren't wearable down around my thighs! I went back to my trusty Landau pants but now, 13 years later, the knees have gotten threadbare and the elastic has, alas, started to give up the ghost as well. It was time to take the plunge and order new scrubs. While technically, my tops are still holding up pretty well, after 13 years, I've gotten tired of them so I permitted myself to buy new ones.
I got on line and looked at the first place I always look to buy things: Amazon. The selection they had was terrible so I headed over to AllHeart to see what they had to offer. The selection was vastly better. I browsed for a few weeks, put a few things in my cart and thought about it some more. Based on my previous experience, I wasn't going to stray from Landau pants but sadly, their printed top selection was pathetic so I had to go look at all printed tops and hope that the pants matched close enough. There were some super cute tops and I branched out from my blue, green and purple pants to include some red and black along with it.
I pared the selection down to a reasonable number and hit the buy button. Immediately I received an e-mail telling me that my order was received but that every single thing I had ordered was on back-order; EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I was bummed but I'd been using my old scrubs for 13 years, I could make it another month or so. Imagine my surprise when a big old package showed up today with all but two pairs of pants in it! I was so excited, I had to take a picture of it all before throwing them in the wash so I could wear new scrubs to work tomorrow. Yeah!
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
