It was an amazing morning. I had some time before I had to go to work so I grabbed my camera as I took Floyd for a walk. The fist thing I saw was this gorgeous light coming through the trees and lighting up one of the bridges on the greenway. I bracketed a bit and tried both portrait and landscape. The landscape just didn't work, there was too much bridge in it and the sun was too close to the top of the picture so portrait it is. I upped the contrast, temperature and yellow luminance so it looked more like what I saw.
As I got closer to the other end of the park, I saw something that caught my eye. Someone or multiple people obviously had fun in the snow over the past few weeks and got too hot, took their hats off and forgot about them in the park. Presumably someone else found them and took the opportunity for some whimsical, temporary art. It made me smile so I captured it..
As I turned for home, I noticed a pair of ducks. I tied Floyd up to a tree several feet away and snuck up as much as I could before they started feeling uncomfortable. I wish I'd had my larger lens with me but I did what I could and let cropping do the rest.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
