Over the past few years, the girls have been developing a game of their own. They have dubbed it scooter ball. Originally, they were all on scooters but Meghann's met with a terrible fate some time last year so the rules of the game had to be adjusted so one person who doesn't have a scooter has a different role in the game. Don't ask me the rules, I don't have any idea but they 4 of them have fun for hours and I'm not complaining. Occasionally a mom comes past and yells at them for being in the road but she can stuff it where the sun don't shine as far as I'm concerned. The speed limit is 25 MPH; leaving plenty of time to avoid them unless you are going WAAAAAYYYYYY too fast, which is probably why she is upset. They are always watching for cars and all get over to the side of the road as soon as the verbal, "CAR!" is heard. If you ask me, this is good old fashioned fun, no different than the street hockey games the Nunez and Hardy kids played on 105th street when I was going up. So, lady in the green minivan, just slow down and let the kids play.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
