One of my favorite things about spring in NC are the red buds. They are, in my opinion, the prettiest blooming trees in this area. However, I have one gripe with them, well actually the person responsible for naming them. They are not red. I now have proof! When I imported this picture to LR and played with the saturation and luminance of the specific colors, the buds were entirely in the purple and magenta realm. Playing with the red slider had ZERO effect on them. So why are they called red buds? They should be magenta or purple buds. In no classification system I've ever seen is this color considered red.
I played with the focus point on this one and liked the closest focus point the best. I boosted saturation and luminance as well as contrast and clarity post.
I'm a mother of 2 girls living in NC. I've dabbled in photography on and off but really this is just for fun
